Kiskaluh is a new era of what was formerly Xivalandia .
We want to prioritize art, create with intention, and share it in the form of products that can make you company in your daily life: from crocheted plushies and prints to stickers and illustrated zines.
Since the products are handmade, they are produced in small batches when inspiration strikes, always in limited quantities and carefully crafted !
Most of our creations are born and supplied first in our physical location in the port of Veracruz, Mexico , and then published here online.

Silvia is the artist behind the illustrations and also the creator of some crocheted plush toys.
Nestor creates other crocheted plush toys and paracord accessories. He also takes the photographs of our products.
We're heavily inspired by geek and gamer culture; we love video games and anime. When you buy something from us, you'll know it's been made with love and attention to detail.

At Kiskaluh we do things calmly, seeking to ensure that beauty is also conscious and respectful.
✨🧸Small batch production
We work at our own pace, creating in small batches to avoid overproduction and waste. This allows us to take care of our mental health, maintain the quality of each piece, and produce only what we can truly handle with care.
The materials are used to the fullest: leftover threads become the cord for gift tags or small details on plush toys; we always try to give a second life to what we might consider "leftovers".
✨🛍️Packaged with love
We care about making your order feel special and well-cared for. When possible, we choose recyclable or compostable materials, but we also know that part of the experience is receiving something that looks beautiful and is protected. We strive for that balance between aesthetics and awareness, without stressing about perfection.
✨🏝️Local culture and art
Our designs are inspired by elements of Veracruz and Mexico: shrimp, axolotls, sugar skulls, seagulls, the beach, and the marine life that surrounds us. Through illustrations, prints, and zines, we share themes related to nature and life in our port.
We also create illustrated stories (zines) that talk about topics such as the seasons in Veracruz, promoting learning in an artistic way and appreciation for our local culture.
✨🧶Open workshop
In our physical store, we like to crochet in front of our visitors. This way, they can see how the plush toys and keychains are made and learn about the artisanal process behind each piece.
We also offer watercolor pet portraits, celebrating the emotional bond we have with our animal companions.
We want our space to be a place where art and community meet, showing that handmade work has value, time, and skill behind it.

We believe in calm, empathy, and kindness. Each piece is made in a peaceful space, taking care of our mental and emotional well-being.

We love animals and nature—it shows in our illustrations of marine life, pets, and kawaii creatures. Our cat Mochi is part of the team and occasionally appears in our posts.
The watercolor pet portraits we offer in our physical store are born from that love for animal companions and the special bond we have with them.
